Our snacks have less sodium than you believe. Despite their salty taste, chips are no higher in sodium than many foods such as some breads and cereals. Chips & other snacks taste saltier because salt is on their surface. In other foods, salt is mixed and baked in which can hide the salty taste.

Healthier vegetable oils are used in making all NFI snack foods. These oils are higher in polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats that have been proven to reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and maintain HDL (good) cholesterol levels, contain less than 20% saturated fat, and 0 grams of trans fat, which have been associated with a reduction in the risk of heart disease.

Like other vegetable fats palm oil is free from cholesterol. Because palm oil is solid at room temperature there is no need to use hydrogenation, a technique that hardens liquid oil but also produces damaging trans fatty acids and raises cholesterol levels in the process.
